Current News EAST Show SPRING EMERGING ARTISTS STUDENT TALENT (EAST) SHOW, March 20th, 2010. Calling all student artists (age 6-18) to participate in our annual Spring EAST Show. Your artwork will be displayed in the beautiful Gallery One March 20th, 12-4pm. An Awards Ceremony and reception will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm. Cash and prizes will be awarded in 4 age groups. You may submit 1 piece of artwork, multi-media and 3D are eligible. Drop-off will be Friday, Mar 19th, 12-4 pm and Saturday Mar 20th, 9am -11:45am. The show begins on Saturday at 12pm. Judging and awards will be Saturday with an Awards Ceremony at 3:30pm on Saturday, March 20th. Applications are available below or at Gallery One during the normal operating hours, Fri-Sun , 12-4pm. Let’s have a GREAT show! Invite your friends! The New Gallery One is now open! Gallery One is now open Thursday from 5-8pm, Friday 12-5pm and Saturday 12-5pm. Announcing Art Classes at Gallery One DRAWING IS FUN - Learn to draw what you see. This instructor-led basic drawing course teaches how to draw accurately and have fun doing it. Four consecutive Tuesdays: 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 6pm to 8pm. For ages 16 to Adult. Instructor Ron Plante. Space is limited, register now. Course fee is $80. for the 4 weeks. Due to the increasing cost of running the Nashua Area Artists Association, the NAAA board voted to increase the NAAA adult annual dues to $30/year. Details to be announced here shortly. We still have a few slots open for Featured Artists for 2010. To qualify you must not have been a Featured Artist at Gallery One for 12 months. The Featured Artist's work is shown for two months. Our Charter The Nashua Area Artist Association is a non-profit educational organization whose goal is the advancement of art. Since 1951 the NAAA enthusiastically meets this goal through demonstrations by local and nationally known artists, scholarships to local high school artists, seminars, guidance on the business aspects of being an artist, and shows to encourage public participation in the arts. We are an all-volunteer organization.
