Gearing up for this summer’s
Greeley Park Art Show

This summer, the Nashua Area Artists Association will be hosting its 57th Annual Greeley Park Art Show. A Nashua tradition since 1951, the Show draws displaying artists from across New England, plus a broad selection of local artists. As in previous years, the Show will be a two-day event, open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday & Sunday, the 21st and 22nd of August. As always, attendance will be free of charge to the public.

For artists interested in displaying at the Show, the Application has complete details. Most important is that the Show is geared primarily towards Fine Art, and not crafts. Artisan jewelry may be displayed, as well as the traditional categories of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and mixed media. Each displaying artist may enter a piece in our competition, which will have cash prizes for each category, as well as a Best of Show, awarded the afternoon of Saturday, 8/21.

Sunday will feature our Emerging Artist (EAST) art competition, for those 18 years old and younger. Based in past experience, we expect some remarkable examples from these artists-of-the-future!

Gallery One to go digital
m

As of May 31, our co-op artist-run Gallery One will be closing the doors of its beautiful space in the Mill House. After much consideration, NAAA Board decided that the needs of the organization and its members could be more effectively filled by a robust online gallery offering – without the costs of rent, physical services, or manpower. We expect a completely reworked website to be online later this summer.

Our special thanks go out to Janis Cosby, who served as our Gallery Manager and was a tireless advocate for Gallery One over the years.
