Ripple Effect Show

The Nashua Area Artist Association is pleased to announce its "Ripple Effect Show" in winter 2010.

This show is held in cooperation with the Nashua Symphony Orchestra & Chorus which is currently leading "The Ripple Effect" project into its third year.

For the second year, the Nashua Area Artists Association (NAAA) is presenting a Ripple Effect Art Show, beginning on March 6. The show is made possible in cooperation with the Nashua Symphony and Chorus and invites area artists to respond to original poetry created by students of Nashua High School. The Symphony is leading this project into its fourth year.

A dozen pieces of art were submitted for the show when area artists were invited to respond to the students' poems with their visual art. The timing of the Art Show is chosen to coincide with the Symphony's original performance of a new piece of music on March 20. The opus is specially composed by New Hampshire composer and resident Malcolm Hawkins in response to the poems. The Artists' Association is grateful to Nashua Mayor Donnalee Lozeau and NH Poet Laureate Walter Butts who served as judges for the show. The awards based on their rating will be presented during the Award Ceremony at 3 PM during the Show Opening on March 6, 2010 at Gallery One in the Millyard in Nashua.
